Goal

Realizing the importance of human institutions and professionals for the Latino community, Boricua College created the Human Services Program. Self-help, and the sharing of resources among members of the extended family, the Barrio, and the community is a strong cultural tradition of Puerto Ricans, Caribbeans and other Latinos. These cultural strengths, together with language, have enabled Latinos to survive in the modern urban environment. The Bachelor of Science degree program in Human Services is designed to prepare students for professional degrees by building on these strengths and has the following objectives:

Requires a minimum of 16 credits in at least Four sets of instructional modules including:

Colloquium
Requires a minimum of 12 credits in at least Four colloquia are required including:

Experiential Studies
Requires a minimum of six credits in workshops and 180 hours in Practicum 3 and 4.
