The Boricua College Chorus
A permanent, volunteer choral group under the College's auspices, was established in 1985 by its Director and Artist-in-Residence, Abraham Lind Oquendo. It is composed of singers of diverse ethnic backgrounds representing the multi-cultural/multi-racial makeup of New York City. Membership is open to students, staff, and alumni of Boricua College, and the community-at-large. While the scope of musical presentations is universal, the Chorus emphasizes the dissemination, development, and nurturing of Puerto Rican and Hispanic music and composers, utilizing an international repertoire of varied styles and languages. The Chorus has performed extensively throughout the New York metropolitan area including Carnegie Hall. The Chorus has collaborated with the Bronx Arts Ensemble Orchestra on numerous occasions, including the world-premiere of Puerto Rican composer, Manuel B. Gonzalez's Misa en Do Mayor, the world-premiere of Abraham Lind Oquendo's Spanish translation of Handel's Messiah and the received critical acclaim for Rossini's Stabat Mater performed with the Berkeley Symphony. A concert tour of Puerto Rico was also a resounding success. The Chorus is the recipient of the SPECIAL ACE AWARD and THE BOBBY QUINTERO CONCERT AWARD OF 1988.
The Poetry Series
Under the direction of Dr. Myrna Nieves was inaugurated in 1988 and is held four times a year. The College sponsors poetry readings by prominent Puerto Ricans and Latino poets and writers, followed by discussion with invited critics. Students and community members are also encouraged to participate in this effort to promote our literature and cultural heritage.
The Puerto Rican Folk Art Festival (Artesania Puertorriquena)
Boricua College has institutionalized the Annual Puerto Rican Craft Fair, celebrated during the month of November at the Northside Learning Center. This event is part of the celebration of the Puerto Rican Heritage month. Puerto Rican artisans living in New York and others from the Island come to present their craft. These artisans make musical instruments, carve the mood; coconut and seashell and a great variety of natural resources cultural event also includes workshops, music and Puerto Rican traditional food. The artisan is the soul of a people and it culture. It is through this event that history takes shape and validates itself.
The Manhattan Campus Galeria de Arte
Under the direction of Dr. Pompilio Alvarez is the center for the appreciation of art through exhibitions which refresh the visitor's spirit. Configurated by space and open to the sky on the fourth floor, it has light in confluence of form, air, and life.
The Brooklyn Campus Galeria de Arte
Under the direction of Professor Victor J. Asencio is the culture of Puerto Rico that embodies the artistic expressions of the country and the essence and substance of the creative efforts of the people within the frame of the historical development of its civilization. Thus here at Boricua College, through out exhibits, discussions and conferences about our art, we contribute to this constant culture endeavors in the Galeria Boricua. Through art exhibits the Galeria Boricua propitiate the participation of the academic community in the appreciation and study of the life and work of art of our distinguished artists. The Galeria also contributes to spread and maintain the values of our art and culture.

Intramural Recreation Program
Its purpose is to organize, administer, and promote a program of activities and services for students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Boricua College that will enhance the social, physical, mental, and emotional development of everyone in the Boricua College extended community.
