Boricua College is a private, non-profit institution of higher-education. Tuition charges are set by the Board of Trustees and may be adjusted by them each year based on the costs of the educational programs. Gifts and grants received by the College are used towards scholarships to the extent permitted by donors. Tuition charges for an academic cycle are payable in full on registration day. Until such payment is received, or other arrangements made with the Bursar, a student may not register for the academic cycle.

Financial Aid
Boricua College exists to meet the educational needs of Puerto Ricans and other Latinos and residents of New York City. Although Boricua has no guarantee of regular support from outside sources, the College accepts the challenge of making its educational programs available to all who need and want to study. If that challenge is to be met, students must be willing to apply for financial assistance from government and private sources. The staff of the Financial Aid Department assists students in developing the best possible package of financial assistance including:
Grants
These financial awards are given to students who fulfill academic and financial need criteria established by the federal and state governments and the College's administration.
Loans
With the spiraling costs of higher education in recent years, most college students in the United States have found it necessary to finance at least a portion of their educational costs through long term loans. Boricua students may turn to the following lending sources to round out their financial aid packages:

Satisfactory Academic Progress
To receive State and Federal financial aid at Boricua College all students are required to maintain satisfactory academic progress according to the following standard and schedule for all academic programs. We encourage students to attend Summer cycles. To determine the proper placement on the progress chart for Summer cycles, we will count each summer as a half-payment rounding down to the nearest whole payment. A student who receives two half payments has received the equivalent of one full payment, which advances the student another step on the progress chart.
Program Pursuit
Program pursuit is defined as receiving a passing or failing grade in a certain percentage of a full-time courseload in each term for which an award is received. The percentage increases from 50% of the minimum full-time courseload in each term of study in the first year for which an award is received, to 75% of the minimum full-time courseload in each term of study in the second year for which the award is received, to 100% of the minimum full-time courseload each term thereafter.
