“Images of Evelina” Art Exhibit

In celebration of Women's Month, we are presenting the art exhibit,
"Images of Evelina", opening on Thursday, March 16, from 6 to 8 P.M.
This exhibit is part of Dr. Evelina Antonetty's celebration of her
100th-year program.  The celebration was coordinated by a committee of
various members of the Puerto Rican community, and the activities were
carried out in many of our institutions.  The exhibit consists of a
collection of works by ten contemporary artists.  The portraits
portray the individual artist's personal view of the life and work of
Dr. Antonetty.

Dr. Antonetty was a community activist in the Bronx.  Among her many
works is the creation of the community organization United Bronx
Parents as well as being instrumental in bringing the summer lunch
program for the school children in the city.

The attachments include further information on Dr. Antonetty and the
individual artists who are presenting in the exhibit.

Hope to see you and the students there.
