Boricua College Announces Closure of Manhattan Campus and Strategic Consolidation of Operations
Boricua College announces the planned closure of its Manhattan campus as part of a strategic initiative to strengthen and expand academic programs and student support services at its Bronx and Brooklyn Campuses. The closure will take place effective July 31, 2026.
In accordance with New York State Education Department (NYSED) requirements, Boricua College will ensure the seamless transfer of all Manhattan campus students to the Bronx and Brooklyn campuses with continued academic guidance, advising, and support services provided throughout the transition. The College is committed to maintaining uninterrupted progress toward degree completion for all affected students.
This decision reflects our commitment to long-term sustainability of the institution and, most importantly, to the success of our students. By focusing our investments in the Bronx and Brooklyn campuses, we are strengthening our capacity to continue to deliver high-quality, culturally responsive education.
The Bronx and Brooklyn campuses will receive increased investment in academic programming, student support services, instructional technology, and campus amenities. Students currently enrolled at the Manhattan campus will be provided with individualized transition plans to support their continued academic success.
The College will continue to work closely with faculty, staff, students, and community partners throughout this transition to ensure minimal disruption and sustained support for all members of the Boricua College community.
